Hi Yall....

I'm sitting here in my dorm room at school, I've been here since last monday. There was concern that i wouldn't get funding for school this year, and after spending many hours on the phone arguing about why i need it with my provincial government.....I GOT FUNDING!!!! I found out like a half hour ago and I'm super excited. My classes are fantastic, i love them all and i think i'll do very well this year. I'm more relaxed and actually know what i'm doing so that makes things a lot less stressful. anyhoo i have to head to my chemistry class. I just had to share my fabulous news!!!

Hey Melanie! It seems that every single year I have a problem with loans and financial aid, but thankfully it always works out.

I remember the horror of not knowing when and if the money should come , leving for a semester in US.
Have a good fall semester and study hard but also take time to have alot of fun.

Thanks so much everyone. I'm so happy to finally have that weight off my shoulders. Now it wont be haunting me in my sleep hehe.

It almost seems like they like to put all that pressure on us about getting loans and stuff just make us sweat

By the way,I know what you mean about the loans.I refused loans,and I was able to receive scholarships and grants for buying books,etc. No gpaying back to worry about,but the better your grades the larger the grant.

By the way,until recently I haven't been on the boards much.Did you tryy out for Canadian Idol?

Congratulations Melanie!!! Can't believe you're starting your second year of college..... You've come a long way in a year - from being homesick last year to counting down the days until school!!!

Now you will get some sleep this year won't you?? lol

Melanie, as I've probably told you before, when I was in college, I use to say, "I'll sleep when I'm dead." Problem is, if you don't sleep enough, you could be dead: crash your car into someone else, be so tired that you yourself walk in front of a car, fall down the stairs, etc. Please don't do like I did. Get some sleep!
