It's not necessarily unheard of that people have had pigs as pets, but the problem here is the fact that the people want to have this pig as a pet within the city limits, which is against the law (by the city law code). Pigs make great pets........And they are actually CLEAN pets also....they just get a bad rap with the mud thing...LOL...Now PIG farms, well...LOL...if you ever lived near one, well you know the difference. We can't have a pig here....I would get tooo attached to it and I was brought up that Pigs, Goats, and Cows are food...I guess thats why my Uncle was 100% against me joining the 4H in High School. He didn't want me to raise a calf or other farm animal and doing a live stock show...because I would think of the animal as a pet and have my heart broken when it was sold off to be slaughtered. I understand his reasoning now, but back then I sure didn't.....

Anyway, I say let them HAVE THEIR PIG!!!!!!!!!

A pet pig in the city limits....... I could see that one would have a slight problem with that.... I guess that's one of the down falls of living in the city??? Never heard any kind of story like that ~ thanks for sharing!

I have heard of several having pet pigs..one in an Apartment somewhere till some snooty snob complained and the Guy had to give him away......But they say they make wonderful pets...

Here's the latest story on this topic, although nothing new has been added...I think that this story was printed to remind people in case that they want to go to the city council meeting tomorrow.
