Just heard on The Wolf that Trisha will be Garth's Special guest at his shows in Kansas in November.

As of right now he is doing shows on Nov 5, 6, 7, 8,9, 10, 11 ,12 & 14.

How cool is this going to be, I hope those wanting to go got tickets.

Okay, let me go cry a river now that I know not only Garth but TRISHA will be in residence in my home city for a week and I will not be there for it. I will be in the city I thought would bring me slightly closer to her (Nashville). WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?! To those who are going to th shows - you better have an amazing time!

I just got my Pollstar update and it listed both Garth and Trisha in Kansas. . My question is this, what is this for, are they full-on concerts or a benefit of some sort?

It was originally going to be a thank-you concert for Wal-Mart employees, because his obligation is over with them. He decided to open it up to the public. And he's not planning on going back on tour or anything, this is a one-time-only event!

I can't wait to go! BTW, I bought tickets to six shows. I would have went to the other three, but I'll be out of town.

And to top it all off, I was forutnate enough to meet Trisha last month. This is unbelievable, isn't it?! I am so excited!!!

Ahhh...okay. To all of you going, have a great time and I am SO jealous. I saw them perform together when they filmed the "Squeeze Me In" video. It's something special when they perform together.

Let me know if I can help you find a hotel! I have lived here all my life and I'll be glad to help you if you let know what you have in mind! Matter of fact, I'll be glad to help everyone who wants to know about hotels or anything else while you are here! The airport is quite a ways away from where the Sprint Center is! Thanks Norma! I booked a hotel tonight that looks pretty close to the venue--hopefully it is!

I just got tickets to the Nov. 10th show in Kansas City (my hometown)! I'm so excited!! Luckily I have family in KC so I don't have to find a hotel. Can't wait!

Can you say jealous?! I soo wish I could go to at least one show. Its not the cost of the tickets, it's the travel and hotel. Sandi, how many shows are you going to? Hope you and everyone else have a blast! As if you won't!! Just make sure you bring us back all the details on how much fun we missed and tons of pictures!

As I had already booked to see Trisha in Atlanta I thought I would try and work it to include a visit to Kansas City too - so after shuffling my flights and stuff I managed to work it out!! I'll be at the Nov7th show and I am so excited!! Getting to see Trisha twice in a week is a big treat for me and will make up big time for not seeing her for 7 years!!!

It's actually in Kansas City MO. Tried contuiosly but failed to get ticks. Was trying for the original date because of my 20th anniversary and wanted to take the whole family to see what a real entertainer looks like. It was impossible as soon as a new date went up it was sold out after the first try. Wasn't meant to be.

Trisha Yearwood Will Open Garth Brooks' Concerts

Trisha Yearwood will be the special guest at Garth Brooks' concerts next month in Kansas City, she confirmed Monday (Oct. 8) during an interview with CMT.com and CMT Radio. Yearwood, who is married to Brooks, said they made the decision on Saturday (Oct. 6) during the ticket-selling frenzy that resulted in nine sold-out shows at the new Sprint Center.

"I've never been involved in anything like it," Yearwood said. "Garth was actually cooking breakfast for everybody, and the cell phone was on speaker. I've never seen anything like this before, where you're thinking, 'It'll be one show, and if it's two, then I'll be really lucky.' The first show sells out in four minutes, and you're hearing them say, 'OK, we're going for another show!' It's like Wall Street, like, 'Sell it now! Put it on! Put it on right now! Here we go!' It was amazing, and they just kept going and kept going and kept going."

Yearwood will release a new album, Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love, on Nov. 13, so she had already told Brooks she couldn't be a part of the concerts, due to a full promotional schedule. However, after getting caught up in the excitement, she changed her mind.

"I was sitting there and thinking, 'I want to be a part of this,'" she explained. "I basically said, after these nine shows sold out in less than two hours, 'Why wouldn't I want to sing for 150,000 people -- and get to be with my husband every night?' So I said yes.

"And then I had to call my manager and say, 'Look, we have to find a way to do everything we're doing for street week and do this.' We're going to be able to do it all, but I'm going to be really tired when it's over. There may be one or two of those nine that I can't do, but I feel like I'm going to be able to do all nine of them, so I am really excited."

This isn't the first time Yearwood has opened a series of concerts for Brooks. In 1991, she toured with him to support her self-titled debut album and her first single, "She's in Love With the Boy." Her additional performance dates this year include a fundraiser in New York City on Wednesday (Oct. 10) with Vince Gill, Patty Griffin and Jewel to support the Country Music Hall of Fame, as well as a concert at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on Nov. 3.

The Kansas City concerts will take place Nov. 5-12 and Nov. 14. Brooks' new collection, Ultimate Hits, will be released Nov. 6.

Guys pay attention to the line about possibly not being able to do 1 or 2 of those shows. She hopes to do them all....but at this point things are up in the air about which ones and how many she will do! Stay Tuned!

Cause seeing Garth is mind blowing & a once in a lifetime thing, but I'm really a Trisha freak, shh don't tell Garth!

Oh wow.... I just saw on Karyn Rochelle's myspace that she's going to be in KC with Garth too! I'm so, so happy for her!!

AS IF!!!! That would be like the BIGGEST dream come true to see both of them in concert I am so incredibly jealous!!! But i have enough on my plate up here as it is But a girl can dream can't she??!?! To all you going, Have the time of your lives.....but we all know you will!

I was feeling kind of sad, knowing I would probably miss this awesome event, but I'm not sad anymore cause I'M GOING TOO!!! Carolyn are you ready for this next adventure???

There sure has been alot of Trisha events going on lately than we were not expecting and we are loving it !!!!

I am a college student, so the best I could do was to get tickets to see Garth in the theater on the 14th. I know Trisha is opening, but will her performance be shown on the screen? Amber or Sandi? Thanks.

I don't know what the "official" answer is, but I've heard that Garth said that every moment, from when the stage is dark to when the curtain goes up, will be shown.

Besides, isn't the movie 3 hours long? It has to include Trisha. And if not on her own, then you know she'll come out onstage with Garth!

Ok guys I am going to type this once and once only! As of now they have not figured out exactly how the theatre event is going to work involving Trisha. Thus we have not been able to post anything in the news up to this point. As soon as the label tells us...we will put it up. Until then...as far as Trisha is concerned please be patient!
