Co-owner and manager of Southern Tracks Recording Mike Clark, GRAMMY® winner Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Organized Noize Productions, and GRAMMY winner Trisha Yearwood have been named as recipients of The Recording Academy Honors™ 2007. The Recording Academy Honors was established to celebrate outstanding individuals whose work embodies excellence and integrity and who have improved the environment for the creative community. The gala event, will be held Thursday, April 26, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. Formerly known as the Heroes Awards, this annual Atlanta gala supports the Chapter's ongoing advocacy, education and professional development programs. The most recent beneficiaries are the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra's Talent Development Program and the Ryan Cameron Foundation both of which received a $10,000 grant in February.

Trisha Yearwood
Three-time GRAMMY Award-winning country music star Trisha Yearwood has released a total of 11 albums since her self–titled debut in 1991. Since then, several of her albums have gone platinum, one went double platinum, and her 1997 release, Songbook: A Collection of Hits, achieved quadruple-platinum status. In 1999, Yearwood was inducted into the famed and historic Grand Ole Opry affirming her place as a true icon in country music, and the following year she became a member of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
