It was completely amazing. I would imagine it was a lot like the Sirius Radio thing she did earlier in the week. She was interviewed by Bill Anderson, sang 3 songs from the new album, and told some stories. She was her usual amazing self, I can not gush about her enough. I wish she could have stayed to hang out and talk some more, but I imagine she rushed off to get to the Lung Cancer benefit she was attending as well.

She really is amazing, that is my only thought at the moment. I wish it would have lasted forever. I can not wait for this album.

Four songs if you count "Heaven, Heartache..." -- we got to hear "Let The Wind Chase You", "This Is Me You're Talking To", and "I Guess That's Why They Call It Falling"-- and she also did "She's In Love With The Boy" which - of course - was great as well.

An amazing show - I am definitely counting down the days till Nov 13th

I was very lucky to be able to attend this show as well, along with 4 friends of mine--one who had never heard Trisha "live" before, and was blown away that she sounded exactly like her albums. smile.gif I have to say that to hear the new songs in an acoustic setting is even more amazing than to hear them with the whole band, they really show off Trisha's voice in such a beautifully subtle way, if that makes any sense.

Having "Whisperin' " Bill host this was fantastic. I loved seeing the admiration and respect on his face when he was watching her sing, and the easy relationship they had as they talked. And she definitely talked! biggrin.gif The Artist Confidential show is about the artist's career, while also focusing on their new music, so they covered everything, her association with the Hall of Fame, her early years, even Garth and life in Oklahoma, and the upcoming concerts. Hearing them talk about her Opry induction, and what a special night that was for her as well as her parents, made me feel like I was reliving it with her.

There's nothing like listening to two legends--or a legend, and a legend in the making--just chatting like the old friends that they are. This show is going to be absolutely incredible!!! biggrin.gif

By the way, if you don't have XM, you can sign up for a free 3 day trial and listen online--but wait until you find out the air dates. tongue.gif

Sandi, so glad you and the others got to hear an acoustic concert. If it was anything like the SIRIUS

Dang I hit the wrong button and my post was already on the board before I was through typing!! unsure.gif

What I was trying to say, congrats to those who got to see the acoustic show. I know it had to be just as awesome as the SIRIUS show on Monday. I too have XM, but will have to subscribe to SIRIUS when the time comes so I can listen to to both these wonderful shows.

I can't wait for this new cd to come out. Judging from the songs I've heard so far, well it is going to be the best CD ever!!

Sounds awesome. Please let us know when it will air so I can catch it.

It was an amazing show. It was like having two legends sitting in your living room carrying on a conversation. I think the conversation was as interesting as the music. Trisha is about as genuine person as you will find. You can strike up a conversation with her and it would be like you were lifelong friends.

They also gave us a neat laminate with Trisha's picture on it. The other people in the audience were very nice too. It was a great experience except for driving through the deluge to get there. angry.gif

Thanks for the reminder Sandi.... loved the interview and the song selection.... I especially loved the news about the standards album (it's definitely happening!) and her comeback when Bill read that review... lol....

I loved this interview. Trisha was adorable. I love Bill Anderson, so that made it extra-special.

Did Trisha offer some kind of timeline for the standards album?

Awesome, awesome, awesome!! What a great show. Bill and Trisha had a great rapport and she was as quick and as funny as always. I LOVED her saying the standards cd would happen much sooner rather than later! biggrin.gif Loved her response when Bill read her that amazing compliment. And how funny was it when the guy asked her to sing Over the Rainbow, which started the whole standards discussion. Loved hearing the new songs just acoustic - very cool. I soo hope I can get to a show this year.

What a great interview and I always love hearing her sing! I still can't get over how absolutely hilarious she is! I was laughing through the whole thing! I am looking forward to the cookbook coming out! April is not that far away now! And I would love a standards album from her!

It's awesome that it aired all day on XMX, aside from those two times on Highway 16--I had it on all day at work! ohmy.gif tongue.gif It was great to relive the taping. smile.gif
