my signal has been so bad lately. I keep getting alot of static not sure what's up. My car dosent have the cassette player anymore so I cant use the adapter. Hopefully things clear up soon
It sounds like you have some sort of electrical short in your car...but as any good mechanic will tell you, a short is hard to find. You could spend a lot of money trying to find it (tracing the whole line) and stop it, but it start up again somewhere else. The static could even be coming from somewhere else, but bleeding in through the radio due to being somewhat connected to the same line(s). And sometimes, static is caused by parts of the vehicle coming together that weren't really meant to, like two parts of the chassis that are supposed to have a rubber piece between them but don't because it's worn out.
About the easiest/cheapest thing that you can do is to look at the connectors (the back of the player, the speakers, and where wires are joined) and at the parts of the wires that are visible, and see if there are places that are bare that are maybe making contact with another wire or with the metal of the vehicle (in other words, grounding it). If the connectors/connections are loose, then the bumping around of a vehicle would cause static. Try to tighten them if that is the case. Any bare spots should be covered over with electrical tape. Hope this helps!
