I just got this email too! I am so excited! Thanks Amber! I just posted it over in the fanclub section too. I hope that's OK. I know that Trisha isn't rooting for my Red Sox - but that's OK. She's there! This is so cool!

Thank you Amber for the heads up!
Trisha sang the national anthem at the New England Patriots home opener last year and it was truly the most beautiful version of that wonderful song I have ever heard. For that matter, probably the most beautiful I will ever hear. My dad is a veteran, and I saw a tear stream down his cheek!
My male hero James Taylor sang it on Thursday night at Fenway park. Beautiful in a "guy" sort of way that only J.T. can do. Awesome!
What a great friday, I won a copy of HHPOL today on my local radio station!

Thanks Amber for the heads up. The thing I love about the way Trisha sings it is she doesn't do anything wild and crazy, she just sings the song, in that beautiful voice of hers, the way it was meant to be sung....

Ahhh, that means she'll be singing here:
Coors Field: Home of the RockiesOn Aug. 16, 1990, almost a year before baseball awarded Colorado an expansion team, voters from the six-county Denver area approved a 0.1 percent sales tax to fund a baseball-only stadium. The ballpark's total cost was $215 million.
Architects originally designed the park to seat 43,800. However, after fans set dozens of attendance records at Mile High Stadium (1993-94), Rockies ownership paid to increase inaugural Opening Day capacity to 50,200. In 1998, capacity was increased to 50,381 after the opening of new suites in right field. That year saw Coors host baseball's 69th All-Star Game. The park currently seats 50,445 fans.
The 76-acre ballpark stands at 20th and Blake streets in Denver's lower downtown ("LoDo") district. Fans sitting in the first-base and right-field areas are treated to a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains. Every year since it opened in 1995, Coors has been a league leader in attendance. On a clear Saturday night when the temperature is 72 degrees and 23 percent humidity, there isn't a better place on Earth.
Most of the stadium seats are green. However, the upper deck's 20th row is painted purple, signifying exactly one mile above sea level.

Set your Tivo early, (if you can do that, I'm not farmiliar with Tivo) about 1/2 hour before 1st pitch and you will see the National Anthem. And I can guarantee all of you, you will be left speechless!
Stay well, and Go Sox!

Trisha did a very great job at the World Series Game 4
She sang the National Anthem beautifully, and she sang it just the way it was intended to be sung. She didn't try to jazz it up like so many other celebrities do. Although I still wish that the National Anthem would once again be sung by all the fans and players, showing our solidarity and patriotism to our country, the way it was done at all sporting events when I was young.

AMAZING AS ALWAYS!
I got at least 3 phone calls and 4-5 Texts afterwards saying how wonderful she was... too funny.
Now make the series more interesting!!!
Basically I don't want to deal with all the Sox fans tonight. I'm a Cubs fan living in Boston... go figure.

You literally took the words right out of my mouth... lol... too many singers think the Anthem is their own personal song to sing as THEY want. Well, it's not. It's our country's National Anthem and should be sung at a certain pace, with pride and patriotism. They ought to give a recording of Trisha's performance tonight to anyone ever asked to sing it. She was perfect. And I loved the little smile she gave right before she started.

Thank you Trisha!

She did such an amazing job! (which she always does!) She looked so beautiful too! I too find that I love the way she just sings the song - in such perfect tone - so amazing and so beautiful!
I have to tell you all a quick story. Right after Trisha finished singing - my phone rang. Well, it was my mother. I haven't told too many people, but my mother has alzeimers. She has good days - and bad days. She has lived in Massachusetts her entire life, and has always loved the Red Sox. So I knew that if possible, my dad would have the game on for her. Well, when she saw Trisha - she was all excited! To her, Trisha is "Debbie's Trisha"! And so she had to call me and tell me she saw her and how beautiful she sang. (my mother has my M&G picture hanging up on the wall with all the other kids' pictures! lol!) It was so exciting for her to finally see Trisha! I haven't called there today (my dad is at the doctor's all day so I'll call them later), but I know my mom will be so excited that the Red Sox won!

Trisha was totally awesome and such a credit to her profession! If we could just get everyone to sing the National Anthem the way it is supposed to be sang! Trisha is such a standout when it comes to singing the National Anthem. I loved her smile when the fireworks went off, too! She's so awesome!

Jane and Norma, I totally agree. I've heard so many other artists butcher the National Anthem, but Trisha always sings it just the way it was meant to be sung. What a truly classy lady. She needs to give others lessons on how to sing it!!!

I loved Trisha's rendition of it. It was the way it is supposed to be sang.I have heard different versions, some modernized to fit different genres of music, but to me Trish and her rendition of the Nation Anthem were tops in every way.

I was on vacation that night she sang. My friend and I stopped at a sports bar to see the game. The pre-game was on, but the sound was turned off, and they were playing music. I asked the bartender if he would please turn the sound on for the national anthem and turn the music down. Personally, I thought he was going to laugh at me and say "yeah, right". But he said I like Trisha Yearwood too. Sure I will. So we were able to see and hear her sing. Thanks Zack at J.T. Wheatfield's in Niagra Falls, Ny.
