I live about a block away from the school of Garth & Trisha's kids. They came to visit the school a couple of weeks ago, and Trisha saw a quilt put together by a classroom of students, and each student decorated his/her own little patch on the quilt. Trisha loved the quilt, and asked the teacher if she would be willing to sell it. The teacher respectfully declined because the quilt had sentimental value to her- I guess she just really loved her students. Anyway...Garth asked the teacher how many students were in the class. The teacher replied that she had 31 students. Garth said, "How about $1,000 a student? Would you sell the quilt for $31,000?" The teacher said, "Ummm...YEAH."
So I guess Garth just really loves his wife?! They're so cute.
I know this is a hometown story, and probably just the people around here know it. If I have offended anyone by making it public, I apologize, and please delete for me. But...it's not a secret around Owasso!
