Trisha Yearwood and Candace Cameron Bure to Co-host, November 20 and 21

Thursday, November 15, 2007 -- Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("August Rush"), Celine Dion, D.L. Hughley, Alan Alda and "Gossip Girl" stars Blake Lively and Penn Badgley are among the guests set to appear Nov. 19-23 on "The View," ABC's Emmy® Award-winning talk and entertainment program. "The View" airs Monday-Friday, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET, on the ABC Television Network. Country music superstar Trisha Yearwood will co-host on November 20, followed by former "Full House" star Candace Cameron Bure on November 21.

An encore broadcast of "The View" will air on Thursday, Nov. 24 with guests Jerry Seinfeld ("Bee Movie") and musical guests Brooks & Dunn.

"The View" features Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. It's the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues and share their no-holds-barred opinions and engage in colorful conversations. Since its launch, "The View" has received 22 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show. The show has received numerous nominations, including ten consecutive nominations for Outstanding Daytime Talk Show and Outstanding Talk Show Host. TUESDAY, NOV. 20 - Guest co-host Trisha Yearwood; Alan Alda (author, "Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself"); Blake Lively and Penn Badgley ("Gossip Girl"); musical guest Trisha Yearwood.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 21 - Guest co-host Candace Cameron Bure; Jonathan Rhys Meyers ("August Rush"); D.L. Hughley ("NY Comedy Festival") in "Joy's Comedy Corner."

THURSDAY, NOV. 22 (OAD: 11/5/07) - Jerry Seinfeld ("Bee Movie"); musical guest Brooks & Dunn.

FRIDAY, NOV. 23 - Musical guest Celine Dion; Michael Symon ("The Next Iron Chef").

Garth was supposed to be on the day before, but because of the writer's strike he cancelled. I wonder if she'll still go on?

I was just going to thank you Sandi for reminding us about this, and then I read your last post... did Garth cancel, or did they cancel him due to the strike? I hope Trisha is still going to be on, but I'm sure there's a lot for them to consider...

Thanks for the reminder! I, too, hope Trisha will be on. But I do understand T & G's position in supporting the writers at the same time. I also hope Trisha is feeling better...don't know if her voice is still a concern.

Didn't she jokingly say in one interview that she would sleep in December? With all that's going on, we're going to need naps and we're just watching, not actively doing this stuff.... lol...

I sure hope she will be on! Oh Heather, I wish I could figure a way to tape things here! ugh! I will see if I can find anyone to tape this for you. OK? But my set up here just doesn't allow me to do it! The tv's are set for channel 73 to get Dish, and my vcr/dvd recorder is set to channel 3!!! ugh! I have played and played with it, and nothing works! But I'll call around to see if I can find someone for you.

Trisha is the BEST....I love her more and more everytime I see her. I never watch the View, but this morning was GREAT....Had a big smile on my face everytime Trisha was on the screen. So glad I had to take one of the kids to the Dr's today (nothing serious)and could see this show!!!

Kind of all over the place~politics, gossip, plastic surgery, they talk over each other alot, though....but fun to see TY in this kind of format!!

Briefly, but nothing too much....you'll enjoy the show...Trisha is supposed to be singing at the end of the show...

I am SO GLAD they didnt talk too much about Garth. Its nothing against him but Trisha is her own artist too and I think people outside of country forget that and label her as Mrs. Brooks. So for once they finally dropped the old topic and focused on Trisha. It was great

Help, Help Help....if someone recorded it and is willing share a copy I will be forever indebted.....I have a new dvr and thought I set it last night but something happened and I didn't get it recorded....I can't believe it. I have been writing to the View and suggesting TY as a guest host forever and now it happened and I missed it. I even checked to see if one of the cable channels shows repeats but no such luck so far.

I have to say, that I LOVED seeing Trisha, but I was disappointed in the show. I mean, every time she opened her mouth, someone cut her off! In reality, she didn't have a chance to say much at all. It just seems to me, that the hosts of this show like the sound of their own voices a bit to much, they rarely let others talk...even the guest stars don't have a chance to say much, they are also interrupted...
I think Trisha did an amazing job, for the little bit she did...and her performance was fantastic!
