I got to Chaperone a Trip this past weekend with my Daughters High School Band. I was voted also the coolest Chaperone also ( only because they didn't test me or push). I was more easy going than rest of Parents, and thats because I am still young at heart. One young lady, came up and hugged me, said " Thats because you understand us, listen, and help before getting mad because we accidently left all our key cards to room in the room"..I laughed and said...You got a brain?...all you got to do is go to front desk, get a Security agent to let ya in.....I called for them and NO problem......But after that, I also had their room for bed-checks, Leave room key behind, I will hold all 4, then on MY time...problem solved....

We have an awesome Group of Youngsters. I was very PROUD of them. I am willing to Chaperone again. They also received a SUPERIOR Rating on their performance at Concert. I am still in awe over their Performance....

......I can't wait for NEXT YEAR!!!!!.....Several of our kids are attending BANDS of America this Summer. We have like 20 or more going. My BABY GIRL is one who also qualified for a Scholarship to attend....big help $$$$ wise. She also has been moved up on Percussion instrument she plays...Don't ask me what it is, lmao....Cause I can't keep up with the changing names of these things. A Zylephone forgive spelling...Anyway she moved up to a different one. After next year, she hopes to be on the Tenor Drums.

Now that really does sound like fun! I love band competitions! I always wanted to play the drums.....

I've been to state competitions with students because I am one of the judges for various student organizations in high school. My daughter starts high school next year so I'm not sure if i'll go as a parent or still be a judge but for another entry she doesn't participate in. High school kids are fun at competitions!!!

Band competitions/performances are really cool and I know all of the hardwork Kay has to do to participate. Congratulations to you and Kay!!!!!!
