I wanted to pass along that Mary Chapin Carpenter has cancelled all dates remaining on her 2007 "The Calling" tour. She has had many problems with her back the last couple of years, and "her back was simply not cooperating with the rigors of road life." And since she was not moving much because of back pain, she had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot that moved from her leg to her lung). Fortunately that clot was caught in time, and Mary Chapin has been released from the hospital. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery!

This is sad to hear, but I'm sure glad she's doing better! Hope she recovers soon!

This was so scary! I'm so glad she's taking care of herself, even if it means having to cancel the rest of the tour.

I'll miss seeing my "Hometown Girl" at Wolf Trap this summer, but I'm so glad I got to see her perform earlier this year.

Mary Chapin Carpenter is a very talented artist and I've been a fan of hers for years. So sorry to hear about this! What a miracle that they caught the blood clot ~ wow - just in shock.

Too bad about the cancelled concert dates, with her back troubling her though, it's understandable.
