According to the country singles chart at Radio and Records, This Is Me You're Talking To is #38 as of 02/08/08 and Another Try (featuring Trisha) is #27.

Unless we're talking Kenny Chesney or Rascal Flatts, singles can't do much of anything without the help of CMT anymore. I certainly don't think HHPOL would have made it to the 20s on the charts without her video. That said, I'm still very hopeful TIMYTT will take a little jump after a few video plays.

You can't compare Taylor and Trisha, for many (and obvious) reasons.

Trisha is an established artist, Taylor is just starting out... and she has a virtual army of young myspace fans. That's how she got where she is, and she's pretty much the first to admit it. Trisha gained her "fame" the old-fashioned way.

They are two completly different artists singing two completly different kinds of music BUT they are singing on the same exact radio.

this is so silly this song should be flying up the charts it's by far better then any other song out right now...Whatever she's grown out of country music she can do so much better. You can't have a hit on country radio anymore unless your singing about getting drunk or other stupid things country singers sing about now days.

No the only way to have a hit on mainstream radio now is to have some song that teenage girls can relate to their boyfriends, like "Our Song" and "All American Girl" basically Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift are the only females coming into the top 10. Sugarland as a duo with a female lead is getting in their too and Sara Evans has scratched the top 10 once this year barely.

And lets face it none of them are anywhere near the class of artist Trisha is. But even if she isnt topping the charts she is fairing better than other other of the her female vocalist peers in the 90's. I really think the video can boost this song. Its very easy to relate to. Lots of people I know who hate country really liked this song. So who knows maybe radio just needs a hint

Just saying my two cents here - Taylor is just starting her career so of course she will receive as much publicity as possible to get her career going.

Trisha on the other hand has been an established Artist and Big Machine Records does excellent publicity for her as well.

There is no comparison, no competition or anything between Taylor and Trisha. They just happen to have the same record label. As I'm sure everyone knows, there are big labels that have major Artists - and no, there is no competition between the individuals. Each person is just out there just to get their music out - they just happen to have the same record label.

There are a good bit of artists falling out of the top 40 now and not too many people flying up into it. Sara Evans and Blake Shelton are climbing up. I heard Blake's and I think he has a hit, and I heard Sara's and well.......we will see.

I agree but I do think Trisha is in a very important part of her career. This album is excellent and I really hope Big Machine is doing everything in their power to get this album out and going especially with all the bullying they are getting from MCA. So it may need that extra push even if she is a multi platnium,oscar nominated, olympic performing, cma, acm, grammy, ama winning singer/actress haha.
