I don't know how many of you know, but Hazel is currently very ill, undergoing treatment for cancer.

Yesterday she posted her first column in a while, describing what she's been through and also what's kept her spirits up this whole time. Among them:

Thanks Sandi. That was a wonderful article. Love Hazel. Glad to see she is on the road to recovery and has all of the love and support of the country community behind her at this time. Very cool of our Trisha and Garth. I know Hazel loves the two of them dearly and vice versa.

I hope she continues to get better quickly.

Thanks for the link Sandi. I didn't know that she was battling cancer. I sure hope she does OK. I am a new fan of hers, just found her on cmt a little while ago! I have heard about her for years, but it is only recently that I got to actually "see" her. So I'm hoping gets through this. And that is so sweet of Trisha and Garth - with the flowers.

I love Hazel. She is even nicer in person, if you can believe that!
It's so great that all of her friends are rallying around her. I'm hoping and praying that this wonderful lady can fight this and stay with us for many years to come.
