And yes, she is a very classy lady. But I can also understand why she's not happy with her former label; and I have the feeling it's the same sad story that's been around for a couple of decades now: Ageism--forcing older artists off the big labels to make way for the "young'uns." Not that Trisha is that old, at 43; but it seems that the mentality of the big labels now is that, unless they continue as megastars, artists over the age of 40, like Trisha, are basically obsolete. That's a very painful thing to say (and I don't mean this to be insulting by any means, nor do I believe that mentality for a minute), but that's often the way they seem to feel.
I totally agree Erik, which is really a shame!!! It is because of the ages of 40+ singers that laid the foundation for country music. With the younger artist's music, it is not classified to me, in my opinion, as country music. Yes, I may be over 40, but I guess i'm looking for the traditional Country and Western type music and today's younger artists have a whole new style of country that is different from even 15 + years ago. But then again, calling the Eagles country........ well, nevermind.
