I recently lost my precious dog Tasha. Was probably hit by a motorist on the highway. Miss her
alot. She was part pit bull and part australian sheep dog. Got her when she was a puppy in 96.
She was my protector and our cats security blanket. I am lost without her. I cry evertime i walk in the backyard cause she went everywhere with us. I have pics of her to remember her by. Has anyone gone through this? Comments greatly appreciated.
So sorry to hear about the loss of Tasha. Yes, I know the pain and deep grief of losing a pet. Last Septmeber, my neighbor found one of my cats laying outside our gate. Sweet Pepito had been with me for five years, since his birth. Pepito's body was still warm when I wrapped him in a towel to take him to be cremated. The vet did not find any obvious cause of death. There was a "suspicious" smudge near his neck. Whoever was involved, knew where Pepito lived. He was gently laid outside the gate. I do not think he was hit by a car. That kind of impact would have caused more damage. He is survived by his twin brother Silencio, Ma' Ki' and Handsome. eventough we have other companions, we all miss Pepito. Even my neighbors felt the loss of that sweet furry prescence. He greeted everyone when they enterred the yard.
Companion animals provide a great source of love. Some people do not understand. But, they are important parts of our lives.
My advice to you, let yourself grieve. This dear friend of over ten years held a special place in your life. It is completely understandable to cry everytime you walk in the shared place.
Again, accept my thoughts and condolences. I understand your feelings
Take care,
JTH
