I am not sure, but I think most areas of the country do this. I signed up to walk the week-end of June 23 and 24th. If anyone would like to help sponser me, just pm me, and I will give you the link for it. If you want to keep us in your prayers for that week-end, that's cool too! Ted is strapping on his knee brace, and I am going to make sure I have lots of bengay for my back! lol!

I don't want to take away from the fundraiser here on the Trisha board, but I thought I would post that I was going to do this. We have had a few friends battling cancer, and my dad now has it for the 3rd time and this time doesn't look so good. But, we never know what they will come up with next - in the research for beating this disease. Thanks again, and like I said, I don't want to take away from the fundraiser - as I think it is a great fundraiser and cause as well!

Hey Debbie!!! I'm so happy to hear that you are taking part in this. I am doing it as well but for the weekend before; June 15th and 16th. My Mom's friend has put together a team for all of us and i've never participated in it before but i wanted to this year. I am so looking forward to this because my friends mom died of cancer when my friend was 16 so i'm doing it in honor of her! Have a Blast, I totally can't wait for this event.

My sister is participating in this. I sponsored her. I'm not sure what weekend it is out here, but she was telling me she recently got together with her team to prepare for it, so it must be soon.

Our Relay for Life was last weekend here in Tallahassee. It was a big success.

Good luck! I've done Relay in years past and it's such an honor to be a part of. They do it all over here in central PA...I think most of the high schools in the area sponsor a walk at some point in the spring/summer. I'm sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he feels better soon. Have fun!
