Hi everyone,

Well, I got home after midnight last night from the signing and had a wonderful time! My husband and I were supposed to go up there together on Wednesday and come home late Thursday but at the last minute Grandma could not babysit. So my sweet and wonderful husband drove down on Wednesday night, stayed overnight by himself, and got in line the next morning to get me a ticket and a copy of the book. He told me he had a wonderful time meeting all of you from the board. He then drove home and watched the girls so that I could go with some friends who were nice enought to go with me as I did not want to drive through Atlanta by myself. We got there at about 6:35 as traffic was horrible. My ticket number was #11 thanks to my hubby which was very much appreciated after seeing the long line wrapping around the store. When I was leaving, the store was still calling out for people to get in line.

But now on to meeting Trisha! Talk about being nervous! My husband had helped me come up with a question to ask Trisha so that I would not go blank when I got up there. The question we came up with was "How did it feel to be on The View doing the interview with all the women voraciously eating her food all around her?" Needless, to say it would have been a perfect question if I had remembered to ask it! When it was my turn we shook hands and she told me it was very nice meeting me. I replied it was nice meeting her also and just went blank. LOL! She saved the day by asking me where I had come in from for the booksigning. I told her Warner Robins and about my husband getting my ticket for me. Her Mom and sister were just as nice and wonderful! One of my friends took some pictures of Trisha and her family for me. I have no idea how to post them. I had a fantastic time! The cookbook is just beautiful! And we will be attempting our first recipe for dinner tonight! I wish I could have met some of you that my husband met. There were so many people there last night it was amazing!

Awesome Robin! biggrin.gif Wish I could say it gets easier, but it never does--I can never think of anything intelligent, at least, to say to her! laugh.gif

Glad you had such a wonderful time. smile.gif

Lucky for me I made it up to the table and and said hi then Jarrah jumped in and said "he has been coming to your meet and greets since he was 8!" So that broke the ice! Jarrah is the BEST EVER by the way I was thinking of putting a poll up about that lol

My husband was first in line to get the ticket but found out when they began handing out tickets that the first 10 were for radio stations. All I could think when he told me was "thank God, I was not #1! The store did not line you up by the actual number but just called for the first group which was #1-#30, and then after that numbers were by different colors. When we left the store, they were calling either the 4th or 5th color. There were so many people there. It was great to see such a wonderful turn out for Trisha and her family!

I called my husband as we were leaving and he just started laughing when I told him I went blank. It was a wonderful trip!

Robin, my friends and I had a great time talking with your hubby while waiting for the book store to open. My friends, Carolyn and her sister Linda (who is in a wheelchair) were already there waiting when I got there and I ended up sitting between your hubby and Carolyn on the bench chairs! He was the first one there!!! What a doll to drive all that way to get you a ticket.

While we were waiting for the book signing event to start that evening, I looked around to see if I could find him and was hoping to meet you, but now I know why he wasn't there!!

No matter how many times I get to see Trisha and her family, I'm always a little nervous too. Once I saw Jarrah though, I felt right at home. She wanted to know if I had shopped all day with Carolyn and Linda, but I told her no, my office was only 30 minutes away and I had to work some (not that I got much accomplished). laugh.gif Lucky for me I have very understanding bosses who really love music. Their motto is "any concert, anytime, anywhere". Even though this wasn't a concert, they didn't mind me coming in late or leaving early as they know how much I love Trisha!!!

It was really fun to chat with Trisha about the cookbook. Since my husband is the better cook in the family, I told her I might just try to learn more about cooking now!! She laughed and said the recipes were really easy. I told her the part I hated most was cleaning up and she said at her house, one cooks and the other one cleans!! Sounds good to me! biggrin.gif

I asked Mrs. Yearwood if she was enjoying this adventure and she just smiled and said yes. I also asked Trisha if she had enjoyed the Godiva Chocolates I gave her on Valentine's Day at the Jacksonville show and Mrs. Yearwood said they both enjoyed them. Too cute.

The last time I saw Beth was at the Tifton show and at that time she was wearing braces. When she smiled, I realized no more braces - so I just had to tell her what a beautiful smile she had (heck all the Yearwood women have beautiful smiles - braces or no braces)!

It is always a pleasure meeting Trisha and her family as they are all so warm and genuine. I've met some other country artists over the years, but no one compares to Trisha. She is just the best!

Robin, I told your hubby I would email you some pictures from the November concert at the Fox. I'll get those to you soon!

Cheryl, it was good seeing you and your hubby there too. I'll look for y'all at the fan club party!

Carolyn, as always, it was a pleasure to hang with you and Ninny. I look forward to our next adventures. smile.gif

i was also at the book signing... trisha was super nice as usual. we brought a picture of us (my friend and i) from a meet & greet 11 years ago.. she totally knew that the picture was taken backstage at chastain! wow! what a memory on that girl!

the cookbook looks excellent.. i was laughing going through it, as being from the south, i have had some variation of 90% of what her family has put together in the book! i can't wait to try their versions!

Cindy, Cheryl, and Robin it was indeed a great time!
Robin my sister and I chatted with your hubby that morning while we waited for the book store to open. He was so nice. He told us about coming up and getting the ticket for you and that he would not be there for the signing as he would be taking care of your daughters. What a super husband!
I wish we could have met you that night. Maybe at another Trisha event or concert one day.
Cheryl it was very nice to get to see you and your hubby and to get to visit some. Thanks again for being so sweet and helping me with the books. You were a life saver girl. Hope to see you again soon.
Cindy, we enjoyed our adventure and are looking forward to the next one too.
Trisha was very sweet and talkative. Ninny asked her if they brought food for everyone and she laughed and said ...no!
Ninny asked her then if she was cooking the food for the fc party and got another laugh and .. no. They had a good time chatting and talking about the next concert and the fc party.
Ms yearwood was full of smiles and talkative also. Beth did look great also and was very kind. She and Ninny had a nice chat.
We just had a great time and have to thank Jarrah also. She always has everything flowing smoothly while being so sweet and patient.
We loved seeing her and getting hugs and chatting.
I was very proud that so many fans turned out for Trisha, Ms yearwood and Beth's special day!
