Hi everyone,
Well, I got home after midnight last night from the signing and had a wonderful time! My husband and I were supposed to go up there together on Wednesday and come home late Thursday but at the last minute Grandma could not babysit. So my sweet and wonderful husband drove down on Wednesday night, stayed overnight by himself, and got in line the next morning to get me a ticket and a copy of the book. He told me he had a wonderful time meeting all of you from the board. He then drove home and watched the girls so that I could go with some friends who were nice enought to go with me as I did not want to drive through Atlanta by myself. We got there at about 6:35 as traffic was horrible. My ticket number was #11 thanks to my hubby which was very much appreciated after seeing the long line wrapping around the store. When I was leaving, the store was still calling out for people to get in line.
But now on to meeting Trisha! Talk about being nervous! My husband had helped me come up with a question to ask Trisha so that I would not go blank when I got up there. The question we came up with was "How did it feel to be on The View doing the interview with all the women voraciously eating her food all around her?" Needless, to say it would have been a perfect question if I had remembered to ask it! When it was my turn we shook hands and she told me it was very nice meeting me. I replied it was nice meeting her also and just went blank. LOL! She saved the day by asking me where I had come in from for the booksigning. I told her Warner Robins and about my husband getting my ticket for me. Her Mom and sister were just as nice and wonderful! One of my friends took some pictures of Trisha and her family for me. I have no idea how to post them. I had a fantastic time! The cookbook is just beautiful! And we will be attempting our first recipe for dinner tonight! I wish I could have met some of you that my husband met. There were so many people there last night it was amazing!
