Trisha was in Indy yesterday at the Country Music Expo. She sang 6 songs and then her and her mother and sister signed cookbooks. It was very nice, but since she was the last to perform and signed the cookbooks after performing, the people running the event wanted to close up. They told her the time was up to sign autographs and wanted her to stop but she didn't. She stayed and signed for everyone who bought a cookbook. Because she was trying to hurry I didn't get a chance to talk much. But it was still very nice. Every time I hear her sing Cowboys I love it more. The whole band wasn't there. Just Johnny and Steve. I had forgotten that Steve was originally from Indy. The crowd gave him a big hand.

Thanks for your report, Pam.
Yesterday at the book signing in Kansas City, Jarrah was keeping an eye on the clock. After signing, talking, joking and posing for photos, the Yearwoods hurried to the airport to fly to Indianapolis. With a very strong west wind in Kansas, they surely landed in Indy ahead of schedule. wink.gif

I reminded Trisha that it was 3 years ago that a bunch of us from this board met up in Indianapolis to see Trisha at the Country Music Expo.
We even had T-shirts printed, and had front row seats. It was hard to miss us!
Trisha tried out "Georgia Rain" for the first time. She had been away from music for several years, but got a great response and thunderous ovations. As you may remember the next night Trisha was in Nashville at the CMT Awards and performed "Georgia Rain" and was loudly cheered throughout the song. We were so proud! biggrin.gif

Aww, You Gotta Love Trisha! I Love how she is so into her fans and her dedication definately shines...that's Very cool that she stayed to sign her books even when being told to leave! Thanks for sharing!
Ahh yes, Jan, I remember that! Sandi and a bunch of others from the board were also there...I remember that being a Great Night for All of YOU! Geesh, that seems so long ago....

Yes, Indy in 2005 was great. Besides seeing Trisha for the first time, I really enjoyed meeting Jan, Sandi, etc. for the first time. smile.gif I suppose, in a way, that that was our own (small) fan club party. wink.gif
