9:50 p.m. Trisha Yearwood: No longer the hit-making golden girl she was in the '90s, Yearwood, 43, has settled comfortably into a life of being Mrs. Garth Brooks and one of country's sage elders. She's back on radio this spring with the pop-like ballad "This Is Me You're Talking To." It's from her well-received 2007 album, "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love."

Ya know... I'm thinking it's me again... cause I'm pretty sure this was meant as something positive, a sign of respect. Geez... rolleyes.gif

I agree, I think complimentary was the idea, but the author took the long way around to get there for sure. "Sage elders" may also be an intentional exaggeration to point out how frivilous "the business" is. My "sage elders" are about 80. Maybe they're trying to point out tht she isn't actually old, but she's being treated as such?

I do think "no longer hit-making" was kind of a stretch though. That felt kind of like a slap in the face to someone sitting pretty at #24. blink.gif
