I was just watching Carrie Underwood's induction to the Opry, and none other than Garth came out to officially iinduct her into the Opry family. He was very sweet and cool. And Carrie was so nervous and cried as he talked to her and gave her the Opry mic stand trophy.

Very cool! Was the part of the show that Garth was on televised? What part of the show was he on? Would love to be able to fire up the DVD and get this recorded when it reruns later tonight.

Sorry I didn't get reply soner, Sherry. Yes it was televised. The induction came during the second half of the show. I think it repeats sometime today, and for sure on Tuesday.

I'd love to know how this happened...

Good on Carrie for becoming part of the Opry. With Garth inducting her it makes me wonder if he and Trisha are big Carrie fans.

I had bought tickets to the induction (4 rows from the stage) and a friend had told me that Garth had mentioned that he was scheduled to be at the Opry that night and we figured he would be inducting Carrie. I also had tickets and meet and greets for a rescheduled Rascal Flatts show in Dayton, OH so I ended up selling my tickets but told the lady that bought them that Garth was going to be doing the induction. It would have been nice to have been there but I just can't figure out how to do it all!!!!
