GAC's Nan Kelley reveals she is battling cancer

Great American Country's Nan Kelley revealed on a recent Top 20 Country Countdown that she has cancer.

After interviewing Keith Anderson and Blake Shelton in Las Vegas, she wrapped up the show that made its debut on Friday by saying, "Over the next few months, I'll be receiving treatments for Hodgkin's lymphoma. My prognosis is very good and I should be just fine on the other side.

"But I may not be here some days and if I am here, I may not be my super perky self. And definitely my hairstyle will change.

"If you happen to be going through this at this time in your life, or maybe you have a friend or family member going through this at this time, I wanted to share this with you in hopes that we can help each other."

Nan, also the host of Opry Live!, didn't want to comment beyond what she said on the show. Blake will fill in for Nan on the countdown show should she need to take time off.

Oh wow! I hope she beats this thing and has a speedy recovery!! I love her on GAC. I have to say I will NEVER forget the episode of Prime Time Country she hosted with Gary Chapman many years ago when Trisha was the special guest for the hour - Nan and Trisha took Gary's "toy" away and Garth showed up. LOL! Funniest hour ever!! Get well soon Nan!!

Yep, that was ages ago and she has changed a lot since then. Still one of my favorite Trisha and Garth tv appearances of all time.

Oh wow! So many are fighting this awful disease. She will be in my prayers as well. I don't get to see GAC very often, but when I do - she is a cutie! So hopefully her treatments will go well and she will be healthy and strong on the other end of this. Thanks Sandi for the info.
