I just checked the R&R charts and Trisha has just entered the charts this week at #60! I'm sure it will be moving up the charts quickly!

Thanks CanadianChick! I was wondering where it debuted on the charts. Hopefully it will move up quickly, though I thought it would've debuted higher than that with all of the rave reviews it has received so far. Just keep requesting!!

Well, looked at R&R's chart for the current week and Trisha is not there after debuting at #60, which is all they show on their website for free. So, she must have fallen unfortunately. Hopefully it wasn't very far.
Mediabase used to show their entire chart for free and we could see how far it slipped, but in the last few weeks they have taken that webpage down (apparently, it's not free anymore). I was able to find another webpage with Mediabase information but it only shows the Top 50.
I think Big Machine really needs to make a fun and fresh video for this single to help boost this song up a little more. I request it every day and the 2 stations in my area have still yet to play it.
If anyone knows how far she slipped, or where to find the entire chart for Mediabase please let us know.

Aw that sucks. Just checked the charts too and was coming here to post that she was gone.

Well hopefully she'll be back on next week. The song title will have to be changed to "They call it falling for NO reason" cause there's no reason why it should be falling in the charts!!

Heck no! Trisha does very very well. She also has a very devoted and persistent fan base. Many radio stations will play "brand new singles" the week they are released so the radio stations can talk about how contemporary and innovative they are. After the first week, the single has to work for itself...with fan requests. A decline the first week is to be expected, but it will climb up again.

Seems like radio catches on after about a month or so.....No offense to the past 2 singles and I mean this in the up most respect to them but if radio played them into the top 25 then they should for sure play this one!

She has fallen to 58
She peaked at 52 after 5 weeks on the chart.......I love the song but its not unique like the last single. I think for Trisha to get the airplay she deserves the typical upbeat tune just wont do it now a days. I would hope they pull this single and add something like "Nothin Bout Memphis" with a video. But if not. I will continue trying to get this song on my radio

Thanks for the update!! I can't believe it has already peaked and at 52 at that. I think they should try at least one more single from the album before they give up on it. Maybe try "Not A Bad Thing"? Just my opinion though.

XM still has it on their "top 50 songs of the week" countdown. It's #48 this week.

Well I am not giving up on it. I am requesting like crazy. The last couple of singles took a while to move and backed up some weeks before jumping forward. I figure we have a little over 2 weeks to really push the requests in hopes of getting some big movement in time for Trisha's birthday. So Cal fans should be emailing Tonya@GoCountry105.com, she is the PD.

I talked to my program director the other day and he said she has another good song on her hands but its looking pretty grim so he wont be adding it
I dont understand unless PDs start adding it, then its not going to look better. So maybe once and if it reaches the top 30 then he may consider it he said. Alot easier the last 2 times!

I think it will be another hit for her - hopefully! Although I did think that "Nothin' 'Bout Memphis" would have made a good single. But "They Call It Falling ... " is very commercial.

So... is it over for this single? Any hope for Memphis as single #4? Do we know if Trisha's in the studio or doing any work for another album?

I think it's all over for this album.

I think the next album will fare better, MCA pulled a lot of stunts that worked against this album. Love Songs & Greatest Hits as well as Another Try with Josh Turner. They were just awful all were released along side of the first two singles.
Right now I am going through my shopping list for Christmas and seeing who I can give a copy of HH&TPOL to. Just because the singles may be done, doesn't mean we can't continue spreading the Trisha love!
Of course it would be awesome if they shipped Memphis, or Let the Wind Chase You out to radio.
