Hey guys! I'm going to Nashville for the first time to see Trisha in September @ the Ryman!!! laugh.gif (yea, yea, yea!!) But I have yet to book a hotel, I know a few of you guys have been to Nashville or are going to the show also, does anybody suggest a hotel that is closest to the Ryman, or a bunch of the downtown attractions. I pretty much want to stick to downtown this time, just get a shuttle to the hotel and walk around downtown. Is this a good idea, or what do any of you suggest? I've been looking @ the Doubletree, the Renaissance, & the Sheraton. Thanks for any help! I'm dying to book already, but I thought I might see if there were any suggestions! biggrin.gif

Hey Marissa,

I'm sure you've already figured it out, but those hotels are among the most expensive. If that's okay with you, then awesome. biggrin.gif You can also try a little further down Broadway, in the Vandy area, which would be a 5 minute drive or so. I think there's a nice Hampton Inn there. Maybe they have a shuttle that could go to the Ryman, if you don't want to rent a car?

My friends and I will be seeing Trisha at the Ryman too - can't wait!! biggrin.gif

We are staying at the Hilton Downtown and while it's not cheap, it is within walking distance to the Ryman and that's a big plus for us!!

Thanks for the help!! smile.gif

I was hoping to find something within walking distance to make it easier on a first time tourist, so I check out the Downtown Hilton. But I'll also check the Hampton, cheaper is always good too! laugh.gif That way there's more money for souvenirs!!

If you're looking for cheaper...there's a new Holiday Inn Express just off the highway on Broadway. It's across the street from the Frist Center. It's very clean and the people are very nice. My husband and I stayed there last October. It's walking distance to everything and only takes about 15 minutes to drive to the Opry if you head in that direction. I don't know how long you're staying in Nashville, but cram everything you can into your stay. There's so much to see and do. I love tat city so much! Enjoy yourself and let us know how your trip was.
