A while back my grandma had to get some surgery to remove some pollyps from her colon back in August. Well the surgery went fine but she had some complications in healing with the surgery since she was 81 years old. Well I emailed the FC and sinceI had met Trisha at meet and greets she had signed a picture for my grandma and she also signed a cookbook for my grandma over the years and my grandma really got a kick out of them. Unfourtanetly my grandma passed away August 13th from complications from her optional doctor suggested surgery. She was really active and just went camping for a week back in June she was doing excellent for her age but just couldnt bounce back from this surgery. Well this weekend a card came in the mail, it was a Get Well card and on the inside it was personalized To Thelma-Love Trisha Yearwood. She had signed a get well card and mailed it. A really cool gesture. My grandma would have really loved it. She watched just about every Trisha TV special with me over the years and I loved talking about Trisha with her. Even when I was like 6 years old if the CD wasnt out yet I would sing the songs for my grandma to see what she though haha.
I am guessing when Trisha was in Nashville for the Ryman Show she got her fan mail. After 17 years her and her people still go the extra mile. Makes me proud to be a fan of quite possibly the most generous entertainer out there.

Trisha is amazing with things like this. She mailed me a condolence card after my grandparents passed away. No one else does that and that's why I love her so much!
I'm very sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing. I hope you and your family are coping as well as you can.

Cory, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma. I was thinking about you recently because I pulled out my Trisha cookbook and tried a few more recipes. So, I thought I'd sign on and see how my King of Prussia booksigning buddy was doing. What a sweet story about Trisha sending a card to your Grandma. She is so thoughtful. I am sure your Grandma would have loved it. I hope you doing okay. It is hard to lose someone who is so special in your life. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Laurie
