Hollywood has lost a legendary actor and all-around great humanitarian today. Paul Newman, the man whose film career began quite inauspiciously (1954's THE SILVER CHALICE, for which he took out trade ads to apologize for) but then took off like a rocket soon after and never looked back, lost his fight with cancer. He was 83.
