Last evening, I was fortunate enough to attend the taping of Lorianne Crook's Celebrity Kitchen featuring Trisha Yearwood! It was such an amazing event put on by Gaylord Opryland.
Because I thought it would be a basic television taping, I made sure I didn't arrive hungry. Boy, was I in for a surprise! When the fans were seated, we were seated around very intricate tables with formal place settings.(I secretly hoped I wouldn't embarass myself by not knowing proper etiquette!) The talbes also were decorated with beautiful centerpieces. Unfortunately, I wasn't the lucky winner at my table who got to take one home.
At the beginning of the taping, we each sampled caramel candies and fudge. That was just the start of getting the sugar buzz going! Throughout the show, we also indulged in Trisha's German Chocolate Cake. I was thankful just for these treats alone! Well, just when we thought the staff spoiled us enough, we received a piece of Trisha's favorite Cocoa Cake w/caramel icing! I guess I didn't need to eat a meal before hand!
Not only was in a unique and wonderful experience to see Trisha in the kitchen with Lorianne, but it was also a blessing to hear Trisha sing a few songs! She even did a little something different that I won't give away for those want to see the show.
I really wish each of you could have had the opportunity to be there. It was an evening full of laughter, great food, and fun. For those that couldn't attend, the show will air on RFDTV at 7c/8e beginning the Thursday before Thanksgiving. That's what was relayed to the audience anyways. Hope y'all get to see it!

Oh, I was hoping it'd be on GAC, as we don't get RFD.

Tryce, you did a great job!
It was so very good to see you again. We really enjoyed getting to chat with you.
The evening was a special one indeed. We loved seeing Trisha and Lorianne having so much fun. My arms were so tired from all the clapping and I was getting hoarse from all the hollowing and cheering.
Ninny and Mary Ann had a blast too. I was lucky enought to win a centerpiece from our table. It is beautiful, but not too easy to get home in the car with us. We made it tho.
Like you I don't want to say too much to spoil the show. I am sure there are alot of things they will cut out that I wish they would leave in because it was so funny and they were having so much fun.
I am exciting to see the show and be able to just watch and enjoy.
Take care and hope to see you again soon. Wish everyone could have been there too.

The center pieces are gorgeous - congratulations Carolyn!
RFDTV sounds like it should just have Andy Griffith on there.... Mayberry RFD.......
Never heard of it either - Tryce, do you know if our cable has that station?

Well, it was my birthday, and Trisha served cake..............
Can I say that I have had Trisha's birthday cake???
It was a lot of fun seeing Trisha making her cake recipes. Her Mom was there for guidance if Lorianne and Trisha messed it up too.
A lot of laughing all around.
