I hope all of you are doing well, and looking forward to sharing in our annual donation/gift for Trisha! I have written and asked where Trisha would like the money to go this year, and to make sure she wants us to do this again this year. Hopefully she says Yes, and let's me know what Charity she has chosen for us to donate to!
Until then, Save your pennies, nickels, dollars, 20's etc! In these harder economic times I just want to remind all of you that every little bit helps! My goal is to give up spending 1.79 on a 20oz of coke everyday...I'll have $50.00 in no time! lol, seriously though, with everything Trisha does and gives to us, I'm hoping that we can still collect a good amount to make a good impact on whatever Charity Trisha chooses for us!
I will be back with more information as I get it!

Now, on to our gift of choice. This year, in honor of Trishas Awesome cookbook, I thought it would be fun to share with her some of her Fans recipes! So, what I would like from all of you, is for you to send along with your donation, a copy of your favorite recipe! If you don't have a favorite, find one! I'm sure your moms, dads,
grandparents, aunts, uncles, or best friends all have a favorite recipe that you could send in!
Please type up the recipe in a 12 font (for easy reading) and
print it out on 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

If you'd like to include a 1 or 2 sentence note about the recipe please do so, but please keep it short! Be sure the recipe makes sense to ok?! lol
I'll take all the recipes and combine them in a binder using sheet protectors.

I think Trisha will enjoy seeing all the things her fans like to cook and eat! This is Our Turn to Impress her!

So come on Trisha Fans, let's show Trisha what we can do as a team!!

Also, Lish, haven't talked to you forever, but I just wanted to clarify for ya, the recipe has to be on paper that you print out--not a napkin, toilet paper, pizza boxes or whatnot...sorry!! LMAO!~! Ok, I had to!

As many of you know, in 2004 Trisha’s beloved dog Roseanne passed away, and we collected money to be donated to the Nashville Humane Association in Memory of Roseanne. This year, Trisha has asked us to once again make our donation to the Nashville Humane Association. I was told that even though Trisha isn’t in Nashville much, she still likes to show them her support. Therefore, to Honor Trisha and mark the 5 year anniversary of Roseanne passing, we will once again be donating to NHA. In these hard economic times where people may feel forced to give up their animals or just leave them behind due to financial hardships, I feel that it is even more important for us to help out our animal friends, and at the same time be giving something back to Trisha. I hope you all agree! So Please, Please join me in making another Successful Donation to Honor Trisha! Also, remember to include one of your favorite recipes when you mail me your donation.

Hey Tammy!

You are sooooooo wonderful to do this each year for Trisha!!!!! You put so much effort, creativity, time, and work into the annual fund raiser/gift to Trisha!!!! I want to thank you with all of my heart for doing this each year and as well for the rest of us Trisha fans!

I love the idea about the recipe!!! It's also so wonderful of Trisha to donate to the Nashville Humane Association!!! There are so many animals being dropped off because of people losing their houses and having to get rid of their pets. I had my Christmas card with her and Roseanne proudly hanging along with the rest of our Christmas cards. (actually I display all of the cards from her but that one especially because I love critters and losing a pet is such a tragedy!!!

Just a reminder that we are now into April! Please, Please, Please start getting your donation and your recipe ready to mail! Even though Trisha isn't touring right now, let's make sure she's flooded with all our love ok! We can't tell her in person these days, so let's do it through this donation/gift!
Remember, print out your recipe on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper, and leave a good inch or 2 on the side margins-no recipe cards please!

Let all your Trisha friends know about this donation/gift so they can participate as well!

I am just checking in to see what has been happening with the donation/gift for Miss Yearwood... it's been months and I have not heard anything. If someone can let the rest of us know that the donation has been delivered to the NHA and the Recipe book is on it's way, it would be greatly appreciated... I would just like to know that my hard earned money isn't going to waste and it's going to what Trisha would want!

Hi Trisha Fans!
Hope Everyone is having a Great Fall! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything sooner, but being that I was still collecting money through June and July, and it took me some time to organize all the wonderful Recipes, I just heard back from the Nashville Humane Association in Sept.
Trisha Fans DID A FANTASTIC JOB Again, collecting money! $1900.00 was collected and donated to the Nashville Humane Association!! As I mentioned, I received a letter from the NHA Thanking us for the Generous Donation, and they had sent a letter to Trisha notifying her of the donation made in her name by her fans.

As for the recipes, I took each recipe and put it in a clear page protector. I then organized them into categories-appetizers/snacks, breads, salads, entrees and desserts with dividers btw. each section.
We had enough recipes to fill a 1 inch 3 ring binder! She's bound to find some she loves!
This year unfortunately, I was unable to give it to her personally, but had to mail it. I do know that it got there, but i haven't heard anything. And I'm not sure I expect to. One of the things I'm always writing in the letter about what we've collected and why, is that this is OUR Thank You to Her, and we don't expect anything in return. If I Do hear anything, I will let you know.

This year I was worried that we wouldn't collect much, with the economy and everything, but we kept the donation open longer, and you All came through!! $1900.00 is Amazing! TRISHA FANS ROCK!!

I've already heard where the donation should go this year, so be expecting the
2010 Donation and Gift to Thank Trisha Kickoff News to be posted sometime in Feb!!
