Full Version: What happened to all her fans on this board?!

Man, this board has really, really slowed down. Where did everyone go? I know she doesn't have any new product out, but it is dry around here. I guess I could add something instead of complaining on the matter, but it is only 7am, so I will complain now, add later.

Admittedly it has been quiet around here; and probably more than a few members have had other extremely pressing things to tend to, which is quite understandable. Then again, I have also been known to hear the sound of crickets at the unofficial Linda Ronstadt fans forum in the past, so the quietness over here is not so surprising to me.

We're still here! don't worry, TY fans are still here, and yes, so much to do. I know the chatter increases when she tours, releases new music ect. But I know we are all still here and will always be.
I get into my car and out of the 50 or so CS's I have in there, guess what goes into the player every time? When your sad her music makes you feel good, and when you feel good, her music makes you feel even better!

Alright everyone, chime in please so stadtwood does not get nervous.

What's the very last TY cd you listened to?

I'll start, Inside Out (I call that the "white" album) at 7 am while painting the deck!

Stay well,
Carrie

Since HHPOL hasn't left the 6 cd changer in the car since it came out that would be it. I also have Songbook in there, but have had a hankering for Georgia Rain and been procrastinating about putting it in....so out goes Darius Rucker and in goes GR today.

I listened to Inside Out and The Song Remembers When today. As for the inactivity here...it's that way on a lot of boards when the artist doesn't have much going on. Trisha's laying low and so are we, but you can bet when things pick back up, we'll all be rested and ready to rock!

I like the way you put that. We're still here, checking in when there's news, but I think we all know that Trisha's enjoying her life with her family right now, & when Trisha's back, we'll be back as well. smile.gif

Agreed. Her fans are never far away. We will always be here for Trisha.

I think it's only natural that when the artist is off the circuit, so to speak, there isn't much to comment on or write about, I mean it is the Trisha Yearwood board. But I still check the board regularly. Rest assured, once Trisha's out touring again and comes out with a new CD, the board will come back full force.

As for the last TY CD I listened to, RLW. It's such a good CD and one that I love more and more each time I listen to it.

my last CD was... all of them! I have my mp3 player loaded up with over 120 Trisha songs, including The Sweetest Gift and Home for the Holidays. I just put it on "shuffle" and go! there's nothing like Christmas music in April... besides, no one can beat Trisha's "O Holy Night", right?

everyone take care!

I agree that it's quiet around here, but it's amusing that someone that doesn't post much at all is raising this issue. laugh.gif

Touche, I hear you loud and clear. I am enjoying the cookbook and am looking forward to the second one she is working on. I am wondering what her plans are for that one. Same type of food as the first, or mybe she is going do something different food wise? I hope its just more of the same myself. I love that type of food. SOUL FOOD!

sandis
She said in a Habitat interview yesterday that at a family reunion this year she had everyone bring a recipe--so maybe those will all be in the cookbook. And that she's doing lots of taste testings at home right now! laugh.gif

We're still here! We may not be posting much, as there isn't much to say/post at the moment, but we're here! Trisha is taking a break(at least from music-lol) so we're just hanging around....lol

Ok, so Trisha is collecting recipes and testing them for her new cookbook, hmm-that fits right in with our Donation/Gift this year doesn't it? OK Trisha Fans, get your donations and favorite recipes to me ASAP so Trisha can check them out!

Also, Sandi, thanks for the newspaper article...one question and answer I Didn't like though...
"Q: Any concert tour plans?

A: I don't have any because I don't have an album coming out, and the cookbook is keeping me busy. I kind of like that I don't have a tour right now because in this economy, I'd feel bad asking people to spend money and come out. Another thing is that in country music, we used to just tour. After 12 or 13 years of doing that, I really decided I wanted to make a tour special. When and if the next album comes out, then I'll tour.
(the When and IF the next album comes out---IF, what does she mean IF? That was definately a slip of the tongue, yup, thats what it was....I hope!)

I admit to not checking the message board very often, but I check the website out daily for any news... plus with following Trisha on MySpace, Twitter and Facebook, there's only so much time in a day!!
I can't wait for her to start touring again. Another year is a LONG time, but it will be worth it. I have put all her CD's on my MP3 player and computer, so it's Trisha all the time! Actually, it's time to start the music! She keeps me awake all night long while I am at work, so thanks Trisha! biggrin.gif

I definitely do not write let alone get on the board much for whatever reasons, but I have been in Trisha's fan club since '91. It seems her fans are always quiet, quietly supportive and quiet when she is quiet. Just let someone say something untoward about her or untrue and see how quiet we are, am I right? She is like her music in the way she can be under the radar some times then right in the spotlight wailing like she can when her songs are on the charts. I hope the person who posted the list of music she has recorded that is not on her personal albums still writes on here so maybe they will post it again? I tried to go through the archives but couldn't find it. Trisha Rocks and so does anyone who's a fan of hers!
