I'm just curious...from our little forum, who made plans for Nashville's Fan Fair?
Which artists are you most interested in?

For those not going, would it have made any difference if Trisha had been there this year?

I cannot believe it has been a year already since I went to nashville....wow. I'm kind of curious as well to see who went to Fan fair this year. Can't wait to hear all about it! Wish I was there with you all!!!

Sure, it would have probably made a difference if Trisha was there--I would have tried to go at least for her FCP. smile.gif

Don't forget you can listen to a lot of the events and FCP's on XM though! biggrin.gif

I soo wish I was in Nashville right now! Hopefully next year the hubby and I can save enough money to afford to go. And hopefully Trisha will have a party next year. I have never been to her fan club party and would love to go to one. They always sound like so much fun.

All I have ever wanted to do since my first trip to Nashville for Fan Fair (gasps) 10 years ago is go back. Maybe next year, if I get my way.

By the way, for those who are interested, The Tennessean site has some great stuff up right now and probably throughout the rest of the week, from artist and reporter blogs of the action, to party and event coverage. Elizabeth Cook wrote a hilarious blog on her experiences that is up right now. The site also has tons of photo galleries of past CMA and Fan Fair weeks and other country event going back to the 1960s. It was soo fun browsing through all the pictures of the "old timers" when they were really young and starting out. Enjoy!! tongue.gif

For those who are there, be sure to share plenty of details when you return and have a blast! laugh.gif

Well....I won't be there....WE quit Fan FAir for Daytona and Pepsi 400....Spend the same amount of money, but get a WEEK on the beach and MORE for the BUCK....If they made Tickets Cheaper and brought Hotel Prices down for 4 days...Might consider going back. In Daytona, my Hotel on beach is way Cheaper than the Hilton, and I got a Kitchen and a grilling area poolside...Tickets to the Race and to Pits...400 cheaper than to SHOWS....BUTTTT....If certain people go to FF, I may alsways show up for a Day and night...smile.gif if Possible

Even if Trisha were there this year, Ted and I wouldn't have been able to make it. Things just got a little too crazy and we had too many hospital and doctor bills creep up on us. But someday I am going to get there and actually do the Fan Fair thing! I have wanted to go - - - forever! But it has never worked out.

Today on our radio station the dj was talking about Fan Fair and said that every country fan should go at least once! When he said it, I couldn't help but say out loud that I sure would love to do that - someday! So hopefully my someday will coincide with Trisha having another fanclub party. I would love to go! Someday . . .

I went to Fan Fair once, a few years back and had a blast. It was my first time to Nashville, so I got to see all the sites that I'd heard so much about, plus Trisha had a FC party that year. I've since been back to Nashville once, for Sound and Speed. I absolutely LOVE Nashville and I always have so much fun when I go. I've been wanting to go back for Fan Fair, but it's always been bad timing, one thing or another going on. But I plan on going back for Fan Fair again.

Of course Trisha is a very worthwhile artist, no question about that. And if I thought I could take time off from work and have the money to do it, I might consider it. But for me to actually want to go through with it would take probably an act of Linda and Emmy, and I'm not sure these iconic women would do it now in their sixties (in case anyone is wondering, Linda herself has never done a Fan Fair, though she has certainly heard of it).
