Returned from seeing Garth last night in Vegas today. Trisha came out and sang two songs! I can't tell you how excited I was to see her. Happy, happy. She sang "She's in Love With the Boy" and "Walkaway Joe" She looked and sounded terrific! (Although it sounded like she had a tad of a cold). One of the gals I went with sat mesmorized listening to Trisha sing WJ. I was disappointed that she and Garth didn't do one of their duets, although I believe they sang together at either Friday's show or the late Saturday show.

Garth was fantastic. When he first walked out on to the stage, I thought he was a stagehand or the person coming out to introduce him. But it was Garth in a ballcap, baggy jeans and work boots. I have to admit though, I would have preferred to see him in his trademark tighter jeans, western shirt, and cowboy hat. Besides that, his voice was in excellent form. I felt like I was getting to see an intimate VIP performance. I definitely plan on seeing him again during his Vegas run.

I was hoping someone was going to post their experience at one of those shows. I read about it on gactv.com, but I like reading someone's personal account better. I will say that I'm very jealous you got to go. I really don't see a way for me to get there, so I have to live through all you lucky folks. Thanks again!

I'm lucky to live close enough that I can get in a car and drive to Vegas. It's about a 5 1/2 hr. drive, but all freeway so it's an easy drive.

Some more comments about the show. The theater is small compared to the stadium shows Garth used to do, so it felt as if he was just playing in your living room. One of the highlights was when he sang "Shameless" a capella. Wow. He got a standing O for that one. He starts the show doing some George Strait, George Jones, James Taylor and Billy Joel, oh and Cat Stevens. But to be honest, I could have done without all of that. George Strait and George Jones was fine, but I want to hear Garth do "his" songs. Still it was an awesome show, just Garth, guitar, and of course some Trisha thrown in. Which for me was a highlight. smile.gif
