Jeff Gordon and Ingrid Vandebosch on Wednesday welcomed a new daughter into the world, according to the driver's Web site. Ella Sofia Gordon was born at 9:09 a.m., weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 inches long.

"It's been an absolutely incredible experience," Gordon said. "Ingrid came through amazingly and we're both really happy and overjoyed. We can't wait to get home and start our lives together as a family."

The four-time Cup Series champion will travel to Sonoma, Calif., later this week and is scheduled to participate in all on-track activities at Infineon Raceway, site of Sunday's Cup race.

I think Trisha would be a fantastic mother...but I've heard her state before that she's perfectly fine not having her own children...she's already a great step-mom to Garths' three girls..and it's obvious they're a close-knit, wonderful family. It would've been and would be great if Trisha had children, but you know, it's totally cool if she doesn't too....I think (not having had any myself yet) it's everyone's choice...but for sure, Trisha and Garth's baby would be beatiful...but it's in God's hands...I hope my post doesn't get deleted....I mean no harm to Trisha, Garth, their entire family or anyone else on this board (Mel Sr., you know I love & adore you) and I'm not speculating at all!!!

LMAO...DELETED....its still here...I am excited, well more so for Dylan...Got help getting a Candle into the Track next week so he can give it to someone on Jeffs Crew for Ingrid and baby Ella. Making an Angel Wings decorated with Winnie the pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeore.......While he's enjoying passing that on...I am going to hound the crew to get everyone to sign my ALL STAR towel they tossed to me at race......Hope I can get ALL of them.....I will be wishing upon a lucky star come 7 July for that to happen......

I know what Trisha has said before about having children...But accidents do happen.......She would make a great MOM for sure....HEY...is she an EXPERT HORSE WOMAN yet?.....lol....
