Did anyone happen to catch Trisha on the radio this morning on US99 out of Chicago? A friend told me about it, but by the time I tuned in, she was long gone. Sigh....
Sorry I didn't know about this in advance to give everyone the heads up.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: WEDNESDAY AUGUST 8th…
BIG DAVE…Our Ray for the day was a hit!! Ladies loved him and everybody seemed to have a Big Wave Dave story for us. We tried to hook him up with a listener for the big show on Saturday. We’ll keep you updated ladies.
TO RING OR NOT TO RING…Wynonna still wears her wedding ring even after her divorce. We spoke with women who still wear their wedding rings after they are divorced. Is it for attention, or to keep guys away? We had some great insights!
THE CHEVY STREET CREW…Another great appearance by Lisa Kosty at a jobsite this morning! She brought by some Dunkin Donuts, hot coffee and also a couple of Chevy Trucks to a jobsite in Joliet! To have the Chevy Street Crew visit your job site, visit US99.com here for information.

TRISHA YEARWOOD…Congratulations to Peggy, who bid $1000 on the sneakers that got Trisha through the Breast Cancer 3day here in Chicagoland. And way to go to our girl Trisha!!!!
I HAVE TO GO…The View’s Elizabeth says she “had to go” and used her daughter’s diaper, instead of just pulling over. Who had to go to alternative measures? Apparently, it’s happened to a lot of you!

LOVE that she does these things too--but you should listen to XM! I believe she mentioned it then, during the interviews after the press conference.

Hey Sandi... We don't have XM, but the more I hear about it, the more I wish we did.... press conference announcing the move to Big Machine, or another one? Thanks in advance for filling me in!

The Big Machine one.

Trisha did press interviews with the press afterwards; Producer J from XM talked about it on her blog.
Heh... TTLY is on XM right now; you can also listen online.

What a great interview. I just listened to it, and I never cease to be amazed at how friendly, comical, down to earth, and "normal" Trisha is. She is a real gem, and for her and her friends to have walked in this huge event with no fanfare, says alot about her. Way to go, Trisha !!

Absolutely hysterical!!!
So so proud of her for doing this... again being such a true inspiration.
What an amazing cause and such an accomplishment. And how cool is it that she did it on the down low without bringing recognition to herself. Just one of the girls, love it.
You rock, Trisha!

From the News page:
“Most people don’t walk 60 miles on a typical weekend, but for Trisha Yearwood, her participation in last weekend’s Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk in Chicago proved to be a labor of love. “Many of my fans know I have been training with several of my girlfriends for the past few months. Everyone knows someone who has battled cancer, so this seemed like the perfect way to show support for cancer research and push myself at the same time,” noted Trisha during an interview with US99/Chicago following the walk.
“People don’t imagine how tough it is to walk that far. We spoke to people who had done triathlons and marathons and they said this was more of a challenge than either of those! You camp out each night after walking about 20 miles, you are exhausted, and then you get up the next day and have to do it again. And then the next day you are still walking, and keep in mind it was over 100 degrees at several points in the weekend. But it was such a rewarding experience for me and I am so proud to have taken part.” Trisha may have been walking this weekend, but she is currently running up the charts: her Big Machine debut single is R&R Breaker and moved up 10-notches this week!

FYI through AOL which you can get a free version, you can get XM and listen on your computer. They don't have all the channels but they have Highway 16, which is the country channel Trisha has been on. That's how I listen!
What a fabulous thing for her to do this. I can't beging to imagine walking that far! Wayt to go Trisha!

I thought it was really funny when she told the story about how everybody knew that a celebrity was doing the walk, but nobody could figure out who it was.

Even if I wouldn't have been able to recognize her without her make up and hair done, I can't imagine I wouldn't have been able to pick her voice out of the crowd --- even if she was singing Madonna. She's just too cute for words. What a great cause and a great lady.

Just listened. Absolutely hysterical. Can you imagine Trisha walking around singing Madonna. So proud of her, Beth, Jarrah and the rest for participating in such a great event for such a worthy cause. Way to go Trisha!
