I was sitting back listening to Inside Out, and Harmless Heart came on, and I was thinking to myself, what a missed chance. If they had released this instead of I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners, (which hit #47, a bit better than the songwriter Rebecca Lynn Howard who reached #71 with it back in 2000 ) I think this would have easily been a top 10 hit.

I also think this would have changed the course of Trisha's career for the better. The song would have probably garnished some awards, and Jasper County would have been received better.

So your turn, looking back on Trisha's MCA years, is there a single you would have swaped out for an unreleased track, what would it be, and how would you feel it would impact her music?

Since you started with Inside Out, I'll continue in that vein. I would swap out "Inside Out" with "Love Alone" or "Melancholy Blue." I was never amazed by the title track, and LA had more heat. MB was an award-winner, I think.

For JC, I would've released Wheel instead of TTLY. I LOVE TTLY, but I think an edgier track should've followed GR. Wheel is unlike anything she's done, so I would've liked to see it hit the airwaves.

I would have released Pistol from JC, Melancholy Blue from Inside Out. That was two hits MCA missed.

I would choose Pistol from JC and from IO, definitely Love Alone!

I wished she had tried to have a hit with "Try Me Again" I know it would have been a long shot, but it would have been cool for her to make a remake of her biggest inspiration self penned tune. Linda Ronstadt has written VERY few songs. "Try Me Again" I have to say Trisha did a better job on it than Linda did.

I think MCA missed "Gimme The Good Stuff." I like that song. I would have released that instead of "Trying To Love You." I think that "Gimme The Good Stuff" would have made it.
